ElitePro Wrestling Presents: BEGIN THE CHASE
Saturday, June 2
Steger VFW
The show opened with the Iron Saints coming to ring to discuss their embarrassment after being defeated after being up 3-1 in the First Blood Elimination Six-Man Tag in May. After proclaiming they were the only thing worth watching in ElitePro, the Iron Saints were interrupted by Stryc-9, Kimberly Kash and J.D. Hughes. The former champion disagreed with the Saints, and said that Chase Richards' title win was a fluke because Stryc-9's mind was on his manager's health after she was accidentally clotheslined. This brought the new champion out to chants of "Chase" from the Steger crowd. He stated that tonight he would prove that last month was no fluke.
Match 1: Jason Hades & "All Night" Adam Reynolds defeated "Old Timer" Jeff King & Justin Dredd. Earlier in the day, Jeff King told EliteProWrestling.com cameras that after The Old School Crew's loss to Night Breed last month, he was sending Daryk St. Holmes to another territory in order to get "more experience" before returning to ElitePro. Justin Dredd overheard King, and asked if he could be "Old Timer's" new partner. King agreed to give him a shot.
In the match, King & Dredd seemed to be on the same page until Dredd decided to try and impress King by attempting to hit a moonsault. He missed and as he went to tag King, the "Old Timer" hopped off the apron and left Dredd to fend for himself. This allowed Jason Hades to hit the "Killswitch" and Reynolds finished him off with a corkscrew plancha to get the victory.
After the match, Jeff King returned to the ring to scold Dredd and gave him the dreaded Bearhug and announced that he would be bringing in a new partner next month.
Match 2: Maverick w/Jay Jensen vs. "The Waterboy" Mike Horning never got started after Jay Jensen turned on his partner and left him a bloody mess after multiple chairshots. Jensen took the mic and berated his former partner for "not being there when I needed you" and wondering where "my video on EliteProWrestling.com was". Jensen claimed that he carried the "Straight Up Villans" and was tired of doing it. Maverick needed to be helped to the back.
Earlier in the day, EliteProWrestling.com cameras were interviewing The Soul Touchaz about their big six-man tag against The Iron Saints later that night. Willie Richardson and Marche Rockett informed Acid Jaz that they were invoking a clause in his contract that allowed them to change Acid Jaz's match for the night. Instead of tagging with Willie and Marche, Jaz was going to wrestle Prince Arya and "Believe It or Not" Jeff Brooks would be their partner in the six-man tag.
Match 3: Prince Arya defeated Acid Jaz w/C-Redd & Jeff Brooks by submission after he was able to lock in a Crossface Chickenwing/Camel Clutch combo that he called the "Al-Qaeda Clutch".
The match was back-and-forth until it appeared Acid Jaz was in control of the match. After some miscommunication between he and Brooks, Jaz was hit in the face with a mouth full of chocolate powder by Brooks, allowing Prince Arya to take advantage and lock in the Al-Qaeda Clutch and get the victory.
Match 4: The Soul Touchaz & "Believe It or Not" Jeff Brooks defeated The Iron Saints after The Soul Touchers hit a Stinger Splash/Pounce combo on Vito.
EliteProWrestling.com cameras were following The Double M, when he was approached by Kimberly Kash. Kash explained that she had gone back and read the letters and emails The Double M had sent her a few months back and realized that she might have been wrong about him. Kimberly Kash was able to convince The Double M to allow her to accompany Acid & Synn in their tag match against Night Breed later that night.
After hearing this, Acid & Synn confronted The Double M, questioning his decision. The Double M was convinced that Kash really liked him and assured the two that everything was going to be OK.
Match 5: The Night Breed defeated Acid & Synn after Kimberly Kash swerved The Double M. Before the match, The Night Breed took the mic and informed the crowd that for the last 6 months in ElitePro, they had gone out of their way to gain the approval of the crowd. Abaddon proclaimed that tonight, that would change and The Night Breed were going to refocus on becoming the ElitePro Tag Team Champions, without the crowd.
Everything looked to be on the up-and-up with Double M and Kimberly Kash, until the president of Kash, Inc. showed her true colors and attacked The Double M. This caught the attention of Synn, who went to his manager's aid. This allowed The Night Breed to single out Acid and hit The Doomsday Device for the victory.
After the match, Kimberly Kash announced that after months of claiming that she was bringing a tag team to ElitePro, a deal has been struck and The Night Breed were the newest acquisition for Kash, Inc. Balthazar explained that Kash, Inc. would allow them to have the finest training facilities money can buy and Kash's ability as a manager will get them the title shots they feel they deserve.
Match 6: "The Waterboy" Mike Horning vs. Kid Hybrid ended in a no contest after Maverick ran out and attacked both men. The match was back-and-forth in the early moments, when Maverick ran from the back to clear the ring.
Maverick grabbed the mic and demanded that Jay Jensen come out to the ring and finish the beef the two had. Jensen obliged, but was sent reeling after Maverick hit him with a HUGE chokeslam after a brief scuffle.
Match 7: Chase "The Face" Richards defeated Stryc-9 w/Kimberly Kash & J.D. Hughes by submission after using a Crossface Chickenwing (1st defense). Richards was forced to find a submission hold after Stryc-9 worked over his left knee throughout the match. The champion attempted a Burning Hammer on Stryc-9, but the knee had taken too much damage.
Midway through the match, J.D. Hughes attempted to interfere, but was stopped and thrown from the ring by Richards. Kimberly Kash tried to involve herself, but Richards put her out with a SICK Burning Hammer. For the second straight match, this left Stryc-9 on his own. The former champion looked to have the match in control, but Richards was able to catch him in bad position and locked in the chickenwing.
